Vitaliy and Irina Kozhev are orginally from Russia. Six years ago, they moved to Sarasota, Florida to begin representing the United States in international competitions. Their remarkable talent and impressive track record brought them to Dayton, Ohio where they now own and operate the largest ballroom dance studio in the area. They specialize in International Standard and Latin, but welcome dancers of all styles, levels, and abilities.

Jason Ross  says he has danced all his life, but his formal training began only 5 years ago! He moved to Dayton and joined Golden City Ballroom to pursue his passion for ballroom dance. He has competed with his students in several prestigious competitions, where they have placed exceptionally well. He is clearly Dayton's new favorite pro-am instructor!

Shelly Jones fell in love with dancing at the tender age of of 10 years! A few years later she began teaching in Ft. Walton Beach, FL. She came to Golden City Ballroom to pursue her professional career with her partner and brother Brandon Barker. "Dancing has always been my passion and the love of my life. Golden City Ballroom has given me chance to shine and pursue my dreams".

Brandon Barker - "Golden City Ballroom is more than a studio, it is a dream come true for me". Brandon was originally teaching in Ft. Walton Beach, FL when he moved to Ohio to compete professionally with his sister, Shelly Jones. He loves the world of dance and is thrilled to be at Golden City Ballroom.

Tanya Slife is by education a physical therapist but the lure of the dance was too much for her to resist! She began ballroom dancing in 2002, and began competing in American Smooth with Vitaliy Kozhev in 2004. She now teaches at Golden City Ballroom and is a favorite with the beginning students for her pstience!
